Aurora's Technological Research Institute Student Handbook

How to use the Handbook: It is very important to know how to use the ATRI (KEC) college student handbook mostly for both Internal and External examinations in particular in case of all the subjects.

Under the 'Suggested Books' section in handbook there are different books christened 'T' series and 'R' series. This refers to the Text and Reference books. It is always preferable to buy/borrow T1 book mentioned .

Under the 'Session Planner', the Chapter number of the topic and sub-topics are printed clearly. This helps you refer to the chapter number and which avoids intensive searching. if you feel it's a bit confusing, refer to the syllabus book provided .

After all the units have been revised according to the college student handbook, topic-wise (perfectly) , solve the Question Bank. And be perfect with the previous year JNTU external exam papers especially those that have been repeated. Write answers for these questions with a view that it is: 4, 6 and 8 marks. And file them for future easy reference. This way you will be confident about the previous year external questions with respect to all the subjects.

Always learn the concept behind the questions instead of trying to mug/batti the answers! The 2nd year papers were mostly based on concepts and logic. They were not direct questions so be prepared to think logically in subjects like CDS, AP, EC, etc . Draw important diagrams that helps you remember the concept of the JNTU questions. You will be saving your memory space. Write down brief notes (Imp points) for every chapter in every subject well before exams or while you are revising the chapter everyday.

About:
The college student handbook can also be called 'The Bible' in your college life. Students of each department/branch, are given different handbook each. The ATRI (KEC) student handbook consists of History of College, Details of college, courses offered, events, dates of festivals, functions & celebrations, Rules & Regulations, Code of conduct and Facilities of college, etc. Most importantly it has the syllabus details of all the subjects.

The most important part of handbook is the Academic Details under which Subject-Wise details plays a useful role. It consists of the chapter-wise JNTU syllabus details, suggested books, website resources, journals and session planner, question bank and gate questions.

Important: The handbook must be specifically used for 3 main reasons: Syllabus details of subjects, Book details and Question bank.

Syllabus details: This part consists of the split-topics given in details that will be covered in the academic year. This helps you prepare for exams without missing out any topic.

Book details: The session planner also consists of books and their respective chapter. This is widely important as it removes the pain of searching the topics in a book. The text books we use are not prepared for JNTU course purposes but are books written for author to specialize in their subjects.

Question bank: This part consists of all the questions from, previous year JNTU external exam papers and previous handbooks. It is useful for practice and gives us a clear picture of what type of questions will be given. It also tells us which question is repeated and is important from the point of view of external exam.

Assignments: The dates, learning groups, assignments questions are provided in the hand book. Follow the dates and submit the assignments on time to avoid inconvenience. That way you will always have ready notes of your subject at hand.
